Amazonite

Amazonite is a blue-green variety of feldspar with a name that is almost a legend in itself. It was named for the Amazon, yet no confirmed deposits are known there. The stone therefore speaks to the history of desire and discovery: a colour vivid enough to make geography follow imagination.
