Wat Phai Lorm Medical Center

Wat Phai Lom in Nakhon Pathom is a temple where faith is expressed through worship and remembrance, as well as through active care for the community. Rooted in a long monastic history near Phra Pathom Chedi and deeply associated with the legacy of Luang Por Phun, the temple has grown into a place where spiritual devotion and public service remain closely intertwined. In recent years, that spirit has taken visible form through temple-led healthcare initiatives, including the development of a hemodialysis center intended to expand access to treatment for patients in need within the temple's premises.

It is within this spirit of compassion that "The Universal Luck Coin or เหรียญหนุนดวงครอบจักรวาล" was created. Developed through a formal collaboration between Wat Phai Lom, Khlongchan Credit Union, and BMG Bangkok Modern Granite, the project was conceived as more than a commemorative coin or sacred object. Its purpose was clear: to help generate support for the temple’s healthcare mission, especially the continued development of its hemodialysis center.

This project brings together belief, material, and mercy. Publicly presented with ritual ceremonies in raw rock form, Lapis lazuli blocks were blessed before it was carved. The result are coins with sacred Yandra that believes to bring luck, and what it certainly bring is tangible support for life and healing.

For BMG, this is what makes the work meaningful. The value of the project does not end in form. It lies in what the object is meant to do in the world. In the case of Wat Phai Lom, the coin becomes more than a sacred token. It becomes a bridge between reverence and relief, between temple blessing and medical care, and between spiritual intention and the preservation of life itself.
