Onyx Blue

Blue onyx in the architectural trade is generally banded calcite coloured in cool blue-grey tones. Its narrative should remain distinct from ancient chalcedony onyx unless laboratory identification says otherwise. What makes it rare is not mythology but atmosphere: light passing through mineral layers and turning stone into a field of depth.
